During the first six months of 2017, 104 aid workers were reportedly killed in 56 incidents. In 2016, 192 aid workers were reportedly killed in 124 incidents. In 2015, 164 aid workers were reportedly killed in 94 incidents. This data is based on incidents identified by Insecurity Insight’s monitoring of open sources and reported by Aid in Danger partner agencies using the Security in Numbers Database (SiND).
